This year's DIS colleagues
Five engineers have just been named as colleagues of the year at the yearly summer barbecue at DIS.
At DIS all employees are appreciated and acknowledged for good work, extra effort or a good result in general, and in addition, each year five colleagues are appointed as colleagues of the year, where both management and colleagues select those colleagues who deserve an extra acknowledgement.
Last week at DIS’ yearly summer barbecue, where employees and their families participated, this year’s DIS colleagues were revealed, they are: Frederik Sig Pedersen, Jacob Maienborg Christiansen, Jannik Wind Gotthardsen, Kenneth Guldager Christiansen og Magnus Baltzer Erlang.

It can be difficult for management to experience all the good deeds performed during a workday especially in regard to some of the more invisible values. Therefore, all employees are involved in selecting the DIS colleagues of the year. Employees are encouraged to vote for colleagues who they believe deserve an extra acknowledgement and state why they have chosen this colleague. The reasons are widely but have in common that the employee has been a good colleague and performed well towards customers and the overall work environment and has performed within the DIS values.
- DIS must be a good workplace and our employees should feel safe and well. They are our most valued asset and they are the ones that ensure that we deliver the right solutions every day. And of course, we wish to acknowledge this, and we consider the colleague of the year award one of the ways we can show our appreciation, says Michael Gadeberg, Director and Partner at DIS.
DIS has just recently once again been recognized as one of Europe's very best engineering workplaces. More than 1.6 million employees from 2,800 companies across Europe participated in “Europe’s Greatest Workplace” based on Great Place to Work’s definition of a good workplace as a place where the employees trust management, take pride in their work and have a strong sense of belonging.
The main reason why Great Place to Work once again awarded DIS as one of the very best places to work in Europe, was the general well-being of the employees, which is particularly evident in the area concerning sense of belonging and the retention of a unique company work culture.
