DIS continues international expansion
DIS has just published the annual results for 2017/18.
DIS continues the positive development and international expansion. The gross profit margin grew with 6 percent and ended at DKK 208 million, while the net profit ended up at DKK 24 million for the financial year.
- At DIS we are satisfied with our level of activities, but the annual results do not meet our expectations. Among other things, this is due to higher costs for investments and projects and we have experienced an increased price pressure in the Danish market, where we have many exciting tasks but also a strong competition, says CFO at DIS, Anders Nørgaard.
In the financial year 2017/18, DIS opened two new departments in Denmark; in Kolding and in Sønderborg. In addition, we opened a department in Barcelona, Spain and two in Great Britain in Lowestoft and in London, as well as further investment were made in Poland, where the Polish office facilities were expanded to twice the size. DIS now has a total of 18 departments worldwide.
Globally, the number of employees has increased by over 30 percent, entirely through organic growth.
- After a quiet fall and winter, growth has now returned to DIS, and we will enter 2018/19 strong and with a healthy economy. We invest heavily in the development of our international business and customer base, and we are experiencing a return on investment on it. We are very pleased with the synergy and the cooperation our global teams are able to offer our customers, says Anders Nørgaard.
DIS’ growth expectation for the coming financial year are above the level of the recently submitted annual reports, as DIS predicts that the current and future initiatives will have a positive impact, so that the company once again will obtain a 30 percent annual growth.
