DIS Wins Danish Innovation Award
At the EY Entrepreneur of the Year 2016 award ceremony yesterday, DIS was named the most innovative growth company of the year
In the past month DIS has been awarded Greatest Place to Work as an engineer as well as Entrepreneur of the Year in Region Midtjylland. DIS has also received this year’s theme award for Best Customer Focus, and now we have received the award for the most innovative growth company at the EY Entrepreneur of the Year 2016 ceremony.
The Innovation category focuses on those companies where innovation is deeply rooted in the entire company, as well as companies that are innovative in terms of product development and design and at the same time show growth.
- This year’s winner is passionate about technology and processes and finds new solutions for technical challenges. It is a knowledge based company in constant movement and development in the business of delivering great value for others. Common for all the companies in the competition is that they are evolving, successful and create jobs. EY Entrepreneur of the Year wishes to celebrate these companies and inspire others to this kind of mindset and perhaps do the same. This is the essence of the competition. We look upon the business owners as role models, and while each growth company has its own story and characteristics, some common features are present – such as a strong vision, determination and perseverance, says Søren Smedegaard Hvid, partner in EY and director for EY Entrepreneur of the Year.
The jury was especially impressed with DIS’ ability to create and maintain a strong business culture and ensure that new employees understand the DNA of the company, while they continue to improve and to evolve professionally.
“We have managed to develop our company while we at the same time have been visionary. The driving force behind DIS has always been a passion for technology and for finding innovative solutions for technical challenges, while we keep focus on our customers’ needs and wishes. All this, in collaboration with our customers and our skilled employees worldwide,” says Michael Gadeberg, CEO and partner at DIS.
